The LD2450 from Hi-Link is a high sensitivity 24GHz human presence sensing and motion tracking module. It operates primarily based upon the principle of FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) to detect and track human targets in a set space. Radar signal processing and accurate human body sensing algorithms allow a high level of sensitivity when detecting bodies that are either in motion or stationary – a big step up from your standard PIR sensors. Real-time distance, angle and speed of a moving target can be calculated using data received from the sensor module. Reaching up to a maximum sensing distance of 6 meters with a maximum detection angle of ±60°, this sensor is primarily used indoors.
