YEAR END CLOSING TIMES - We will be closed from Thursday the 5th of December through to Wednesday the 18th of December.

We will be re-opening again on the 19th of December, and we will be open on all normal working days thereafter through to 2025.

Any orders placed before 1PM on Wednesday the 4th of December will be processed and collected that same afternoon.

Any orders placed between the 5th and 18th of December will only be processed on the 19th of December. All stock for orders placed and paid for during this period will be reserved for that specific order.

We strive to supply you with quality products. Most of our products go through quality control carried out by the manufacturers, and we visually inspect every product that we sell, but there are times when products just don’t work as expected. Due to the nature of the products that we sell, “tinkering” with components generally involves working with exposed electronics and subjecting them to power sources, tools, other hardware, interface cables and let’s not forget static electricity. Therefore it is crucial that we try and get additional information and potentially assess products before refunding or replacing any hardware. Below is a brief overview of the return procedure that we follow.

If you feel that you would like to return a product, we ask that you follow the below steps:

  • Firstly send an email to returns@make.net.za explaining the reasons for your return.
  • We may need to troubleshoot the issue telephonically or over email to find out as much information as possible. It could turn out that a return is not necessary.
  • If it is determined that an assessment is in order, you can either get the item(s) in question sent back to us by your own means, or we can arrange a collection courier for you. The items will need to be in their original packaging (where possible) and not damaged in any way.
  • Once we receive the item(s), we will endeavour to carry out our assessment as soon as possible. Thereafter either a repair, replacement or refund will be issued. The collection and return delivery for a valid repair or replacement will be free of charge. Please note that assessments can take up to 5 working days but we will endeavour to have it sorted out within 3.
  • The assessment will determine if faults were due to a manufacturing defect or improper use. Should the product be deemed damaged due to any form of improper use or gross negligence by the customer; or found to be functioning properly without any faults; then all collection and delivery expenses will need to be paid for by said customer.

If you are returning an item that was wrongly ordered, or that you do not want anymore, this must be done within 3 days of receipt of the item. We can only accept the return if the item has not been used and is in the original packaging. In the aforementioned case, we can either arrange the return courier for you (at your expense), or you can send the item back to us by your own means.
