The ESP32-CAM is a compact WiFi and Bluetooth camera development board based on the ESP32 chipset. It includes support for the OV3660 camera module and features an onboard MicroSD card slot for image or data storage. The board is well suited for IoT camera applications, wireless image capture, basic video streaming, remote monitoring, face detection experiments, and embedded WiFi camera projects.
The ESP32-CAM usually does not include an onboard USB-to-Serial converter, so an external USB-to-TTL adapter is required for programming. A stable 5 V power supply is recommended, as the board can draw higher current during WiFi transmission and camera operation.
