The ESP32-WROOM-32 Development Board is basically a development/breakout board for Espressif’s ESP32-WROOM-32 series chip. It features both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, has 4MB of flash and 520kB of SRAM which can be used to store custom code, along with many more features which you can read about below. Programming one of these is very simple and can be done via the USB Type-C socket which makes use of the on-board CH340 USB to UART chip to communicate with the ESP module.

The CH340 variant is slightly cheaper than the standard “ESP32-WROOM-32 Dev Board” which uses a more expensive USB to UART chip.
