This tiny buck converter module features an MPS MP2307 step-down converter IC as well as all the other components necessary for a fully functional buck module. An SMD potentiometer allows the user to adjust the output voltage from 1.0VDC up to 20VDC provided the expected output is lower than the input.
Although these modules specify a continuous maximum current capability of 1.8 Amps, this is only practically achievable with additional cooling. The datasheet states an absolute maximum value of 2W for the chips Continuous Power Dissipation, so keep this in mind if you plan on sourcing more than 2W from the module. That being said, the MP2307 does have built-in thermal protection to keep the chip safe if it does get too hot.
