The CN3065 Solar Lithium Charger Module is a single cell Lithium battery charger board based around the Consosance Elec CN3065 chip. The module is a complete constant current / constant voltage linear charger for single cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer rechargeable batteries. An on-chip 8-bit ADC helps adjust charging current automatically based on the output capability of the input power source, making it ideal for solar powered systems. Furthermore, the CN3065 has also been designed to work within USB power specifications, giving you more flexibility when choosing an input power source. Thermal feedback regulates the charge current to limit the die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature. The regulation voltage is internally fixed at 4.2VDC with 1% accuracy, but it can be adjusted with an external resistor – the charge current can also be programmed externally with a single resistor. When the input supply is removed, the CN3065 automatically enters a low power sleep mode, dropping the current consumption of the chip to less than 3µA.
