This tiny (No pun intended) development module is a breakout board for the ATtiny85 microcontroller from Atmel. It is a clone of Digistump’s Digispark USB Development Board, so any related guides and tutorials can be applied to this module. It features a Micro-USB connector, a 500mA 5VDC regulator, 2.54mm pitch breakout pins for all of the ATtiny’s pins, and 2 SMD LEDs (One to indicate that the board is powered, the other is connected to an I/O pin for you to use as you see fit). The Micro-USB connector is not only there to power the board, it also allows you to easily program the ATtiny85 from the Arduino IDE. This is thanks to the Digispark bootloader which all the boards come pre-flashed with. The Digispark guide in the “Resources” section below outlines exactly how to setup and program this module using the Arduino IDE.
