Operation Overview
- Power Input (DC Source)
- Connect your charger or power adapter to the DC+ and DC– screw terminals
- Ensure the charger is suitable for the battery type – charging characteristics are not controlled by the board
- Battery Connection
- Connect the battery to BAT+ and BAT–
- Load Output
- Connect your device or load to OUT+ and OUT–
- System Behaviour
- DC Present
- If voltage is present at the DC+ and DC– terminals, the connected load will be powered by the external voltage source connected to these terminals
- Battery is charged simultaneously
- DC Not Present
- If no voltage is present at the DC+ and DC– terminals, the connected load will be powered by the battery
- Switchover Delay
- Switchover is not instantaneous – there will be a brief moment during which the load may experience a loss of power while the switchover occurs
